Do I need a sleep consultant?
If your child struggles with falling asleep at bedtime or nap time, wakes frequently or often seems tired and cranky, then a sleep consultant is a perfect solution to your little one's sleep troubles. A sleep consultant is a knowledgeable yet objective person who is often able to pinpoint the exact areas that are causing difficulty, and then coach you through the process of helping your child enjoy healthy, restorative sleep. Read here why you should hire a sleep consultant.
What if I don't believe in letting my baby cry it out? Are there alternative methods?
Every parent wants what is best for their child. If you feel uncomfortable with letting your baby cry it out, there are certainly more gradual methods that will still help a child develop healthy sleep hygiene. These methods may take longer and require more time and commitment from you as a parent, but eventually you will be able to reach the same outcome; a well rested child.
Why should I use Sleeping Beautiezzz to help me?
Sleeping Beautiezzz is certified through the Institute of Pediatric Sleep and Parenting. This indepth course covers areas of sleep which includes the simplest biological milestones of a young infant, SIDS prevention, night terrors and other sleep disturbances, the challenges of twins, lactation and much more. We are not bound to one specific method but have been shown a path that works for various families. We are highly equipped to help you and your child get the rest you need and deserve.
When can I start sleep training?
It's important for a child to be developmentally ready to learn sleep behaviours such as sleeping long stretches overnight and taking scheduled naps. Typically most children are old enough to begin this learning around the age of 4 months, but every child is different so some may need to start later. That being said, exposing babies to healthy sleep habits right from birth sets the stage for an easier transition into long overnight sleeps and consolidated daytime naps.
How do I get started?
The first step in the process is to send me an email that gives me a brief overview of your needs. From there, I will send out a questionnaire for you to fill out, as well as a contract for you to sign agreeing to your dedication to the process as well as your commitment to following my recommendations regarding strategies to minimize SIDS risks. Once payment is received, we can get started! If your package includes a sleep plan, this would be sent out now; if your package involves just questions and answers, it is now that we would begin.
